Walk 1b, Summer Walk
Walk is no longer passable since the fire in 2008.
Walk 2, Water
AWT 0.00: It's a 100m descending walk from the Mesokámbos bus station (gas station) to the bridge. Turn right after the Ouzo-factory onto the track on the left-hand side of the supermarket.
AWT 0.20: Two minutes (200m) after the ruins with cypress trees turn off to the left and find the track in a sharp angle backwards (on the right below goes the hidden dirt road down into the valley).
AWT 0.55: The "second turn-off" has the GPS- position N 37°42,397'/ E26°56,117'.
AWT 1.22: After having crossed the sometimes overgrown streambed and after the 80m ascent, turn right in front of the tree trunks and go up (there is no track). Five meters before the hill go over a tree trunk to the left and find a track which after 50m goes horizontally to the entrance to the Tunnel, which is closed by now. (GPS N37°42,185'/ E26°55,512').
AWT 1.35: On the hill above the military warehouse find your way (initially no track) to a dirt road, then to a tiny panoramic road and down to the street.
Walk 3, Ampelos Mountains
AWT 1.15 - 1.35: Burnt in 2010, but still passable.
Walk 4, Temple
AWT 0.25: The "romantic" alternative route became overgrown. The little street wall has the GPS-position N37°41,685'/ E26°50,632'. From there, walk a few steps down and right past a bush.
AWT 1.05: After having crossed two streambeds, go on for 50 metres and go left at the acute-angled branch (GPS N37°40,656'/ E26°51,217'). Initially, it leads with almost no distinguishable path through the bushes.
AWT 1.25: The track after crossing the street is now a concrete walk; at the top, turn right before the fence.
AWT 1.30: Go right on the dirt road below the chapel, one will get to Sarakiní-Pírgos (AWT 1.35) via fields, withouth walking on the main road.
AWT 1.40: Only after about 400 metres (not 150) walking along the stream, a dirt road commences on the left-hand side of the stream.
Walk 6, Cave
AWT 0.40: The trees in the area fell victim to a fire in 2010. Bushes have grown again.
Walk 7, Kérkis
A dust road has been built, which leads almost to the monastery.
Walk 9, Satan's Path
AWT 1.05: The path is overgrown, a detour via Tsóurlei is necessary.
Walk 10, Miracle
AWT 2.55: The path in front of the fence cannot be used up to Leka. Walk on to Tsóurlei. From there walk up to Leka or down to Potami - it is possible via the waterfalls.
Walk 11, Vineyards
AWT 1.15: Walk down at the sign "Lakka". Look for the path to the right 150 mts after some red tin sheds.
AWT 1.55: The fork in the path after 100 meters is overgrown. Just walk on until you meet a dirt track after a vintner's house and then turn right.
Walk 13, Power of Nature
AWT 1.30: The path to the right is overgrown. Just walk further on the dirt road until you find a new path to the left. At the end of this, walk right on a forest track. At the first junction walk left and get down to the valley of Nightingales.
