Updated descriptions

Hike 1:
Can only be recommended as an evening stroll as far as Chrysostomos monastery. The continuation now leads through fenced-off private property.

Hike 2:
This hike is no longer possible, as it is now necessary to traverse developed private property on the Stelida hill.

Hike 4:
The path between the St. George’s chapel and the grotto chapel has been extended into a roadway.

Hike 5:
1.) Beyond the Demeter Temple it is no longer possible to walk through the dip, for a fence has been put up there. You should therefore retrace your steps, cross the dip and go back along the already familiar monopáti. Then left and continue along the slope opposite the temple.
2.) On the main road to Agiassos, about 50 minutes later, the walled entrance has disappeared to the left below the chapel on the slope. To the left of the fence in front of the new house you leave the road without a path and go 120m into the dip, then take the described dirt track up to the right.
3.) 10 minutes later you turn off right at the farmhouses, as before, and after 5 minutes reach a tiny vaulted chapel with a low concrete belfry (right). Shortly after that you follow the roadway not to the left, but straight ahead and immediately find a rather overgrown monopáti which you leave near a farm, turning left into a dirt track. This leads to the sea.
(see also hike 10 in „Amorgos, Naxos, Paros, Eastern and Northern Cyclades“ in the same series)

Hike 7:
The Byzantine chapel of Agios Georgios o Diassoritis has now been closed.

Hike 9:
1.) After the dry-bed (1/4 hr.) you go straight ahead at the fork (right turn-off) and then you have to watch out: in the described slight left bend, at a field wall (right) the inconspicuous old paved track leads straight on/to the right. So do not stay on the roadway ascending to the left! Standing on the right on the slope opposite the paved track at a distance of about 100m is the old cruciform-domed basilica.
2.) Later you only stay for 50m on the road to Chalkí, entering a dirt track on the left. Then, walking below the road without a path, you come to a small new chapel. There you cross the road, take a dirt track and follow the second mule track to the left/straight ahead. Later you pass Damalás, which remains to the left. At the entrance to Damariónas stands a high wall on the right. Photo 3 is no longer accurate.
3.) The roadway from Damariónas to Filóti has been extended into a (scarcely used) sealed road. Hence it might be wise to take the described alternative route to Chalkí at the war memorial.

Hike 12:
Shortly before the Panteleimon Chapel (3/4 hr.) it is necessary to avoid the overgrown path for a short stretch.
2.) Alternative: instead of a rusty machine a low concrete stela (left) now leads left upwards to the newly laid out park with the Kóuros of Farangi (not Potamiá).
(see also hike 12 in „Amorgos, Naxos, Paros, Eastern and Northern Cyclades“ in the same series)

Hike 16:
Behind the cemetery of Kalóxilos the footpath leads through a rocky dry-bed. Ascending later, it is heavily overgrown with thorny bushes: you should wear long trousers!
The Byzantine Agios Georgios o Diassoritis Chapel is not open to visitors at present.
(hike 13 in „Amorgos, Naxos, Paros, Eastern and Northern Cyclades“ runs in the opposite direction and is easier to find)
